Common Excuses Used by Businessmen Not to Hire a Business Coach

There are factors that are to be considered in hiring a business coach. There are also reasons and instances that you may need one for your business. And before hiring a business coach, there are a lot of hesitations and excuses that prevent the business owner to have one.

The following are common excuses used by businessmen not to hire a business coach.

How can I afford a business coach?
Cost is always a factor that businessmen needs to consider. Whether they can afford it or not, the cost of hiring a business coach is really a big deal because they have to think deep if hiring a business coach is a good investment or a total waste of time and money.

I don’t want to waste my time in something unimportant.
Businessmen think that business coaching is a waste of time and it can’t benefit them as well as their business. Instead of sitting for some time talking with the coach, businessmen would rather spend their time meeting possible investors or stock holders that can improve their business.

How would they know about my situation?
Business men treat business coaches as strangers. How can these business coaches know my situation, they don’t even know me or they don’t even know about my business? Business owners are confident of themselves that they know their business more than anyone, so why should they trust a stranger?

They don’t have the right to teach me.
You own your business; you know a lot about your business, or rather you know everything about your business. You built it and you know its nature and how you are going to run it. So, why should a stranger teach you how to run it, since depended on no one about yourself in the matters of your business since the very beginning?

Why would I trust anyone who doesn’t even run his own business?
You do not trust just anyone to be capable or running or improving your business. All you believe is that you have that ability to lead your business to success, there’s only one person who can do it, and that’s you. How can they help your business when they don’t even own one?

There’s nothing to change in my business.
You act blind though you see your business going down. You act as if it’s okay and you don’t need help from someone you don’t even know. But the truth is, you need someone to help you, you’re just afraid of change. As they say, nothing in this world is permanent but change, and change can sometimes be a good thing, especially when it comes to business.

Why hesitate in hiring a business coach when you know that your business needs it? There’s no harm in trying. You never know, behind these hesitations and doubts underlie success. All you need to do is try. Try hiring a business coach and see how it goes. After all, there’s no harm in trying. It just might work. If it doesn’t, then you can think of another strategy.
